Timesheets, corrections, approval and payroll

Managers see the team’s timesheet on the website and in the app, correct, approve and export to Excel. With the Team & Attendance bundle, pay and commissions are calculated too.

Guide forComputerPhone

On the time clock, under “Timesheet” (in the app: “The team’s timesheet”), you see a week or a month for each team member: clock-ins and clock-outs, breaks, hours and overtime. A punch that closed by itself or is missing a clock-out is marked.

  1. In “Timesheet”, choose “Week” or “Month”, and one team member or everyone.

  2. Click “Correct” next to an entry to change the clock-in, clock-out or breaks, or “Add entry” for a shift nobody punched.

  3. Approve the entries with the approve button, and export with “Export to Excel”.

Every correction is saved with who made it, when, and what was there before. An entry added by hand is marked as added manually.

Payroll and commissions

With the “Team & Attendance” bundle, Bookly calculates each team member’s pay for the month: hours from the timesheet, commissions from completed appointments, plus travel, tips and product sales. For each person you set how they’re paid: hourly, commission, commission with a minimum floor, a fixed salary, or base plus commission.

  1. Under “How each person is paid”, click “Set up” next to each team member and set how they’re paid.

  2. Click “Calculate pay”, and add “Tips and sales” where needed.

  3. Approve each person or use “Approve month”, and export with “Export to Excel”. “Reopen” lets you fix an approved month.

You can show each person their own pay on the time clock — in their pay settings. They see only their own line, after you’ve calculated the month.

Does this replace a payslip?

No. Pay is calculated gross, from hours, commissions and extras, and exported to Excel. The payslip is made by whoever prepares your payroll.

How is overtime set?

By the team settings on the time clock: after how many hours a day and a week they start. The first two overtime hours in a day count at 125%, and beyond them at 150%.

A team member isn’t in the calculation. Why?

Set how they’re paid, and make sure their pay settings include them in payroll.
