Connecting Instagram, Facebook and TikTok for direct publishing
Connect the business account once and posts go out on their own at the time you set, with comments and insights pulled in. A planning-only channel needs no connection.
Coming soon: connecting Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and automatic publishing are still waiting for the networks’ approval. Meanwhile, plan, design and approve in a planning channel, and at the scheduled time you’ll get a reminder to post from your phone.
A connected account publishes by itself: the post goes out at the time you set, and comments and insights flow back into Bookly. You can connect an Instagram business or creator account — directly or through its Facebook page — Facebook business pages you manage, and the business’s TikTok account. Connecting accounts and direct publishing are part of the marketing bundle.
Open the channels
SocialChannelsClick “Add a channel”, pick a network and click “Connect”.
Sign in to the network and approve the permissions it asks for.
Choose which pages or accounts to connect and click “Connect”. The channels appear in the side menu.
No connection yet? Open a “Planning-only channel”: plan, design and approve as usual, and at the set time a reminder to publish from your phone arrives — see Publishing from your phone.
When a connection expires
A channel whose connection expired is marked in red, and its posts won’t be published until you reconnect it. Choose “Reconnect” next to the channel and sign in to the network again.
What happens when I disconnect a channel?
The account is disconnected from Bookly and Bookly no longer publishes to it. The channel’s posts in Bookly are deleted — scheduled ones and drafts too — and its comments and insights are removed. Whatever was already published on the network stays there.
Who can connect channels?
The business owner and managers, and anyone given the “Manage” permission in Social.
Why can’t I connect a certain network?
When connecting to that network isn’t available yet, the screen says so. Meanwhile you can plan in a channel without a connection.
Can I bring in posts I already published?
Yes. In a connected channel’s options, choose “Sync past posts” and the account’s posts come into the calendar.
