Approvals, clients and social media managers
Who writes, who approves and when a post waits: optional, required or multi-step approval, inviting team members and clients by mobile number, and sharing by link.
Social has two kinds of members: the team writes and publishes, and clients view, comment and approve. The business owner and managers are in automatically. Everyone else is invited by mobile number: they sign in to the website or the app with that number, without a password, and see only Social. The invite isn’t sent to them as a message, so let them know yourself.
Kinds of approval
“None” — no approvals. “Optional” — approval can be requested and given, but publishing doesn’t wait for it. “Required” — a post is scheduled or published only after one of the approvers approved it. “Multi-step” — two or more approval steps, each with its own approvers, in order.
“Required” and “Multi-step”, inviting people to the workspace and sharing a view by link are on the Pro plan. “None” and “Optional” are on every plan.
Open the Social settings
SocialSettingsIn “Approvals”, choose the kind of approval and who can approve.
You can turn on locking content after approval — a change to an approved post cancels the approval and sends it back to the approvers — and automatic scheduling of a post with a date and time as soon as it’s approved.
In “Team & clients”, click “Invite”, enter a name and mobile number, and choose team (writing and publishing) or client (viewing and approving).
Approving posts
In the post window, choose “Send for approval” — the approvers get a notification.
The approvers open their approvals and choose “Approve post”, or “Request changes” and write what to change. The note is saved as a comment on the post, and the team is notified.
Lots of posts? “Approve all” approves them all, and “Review the posts” shows them one by one.
Clients approve without signing in
With “Share” → “Share the view”, you share the calendar or the feed by link: whoever gets it sees the posts, comments and approves without signing in. To share a single post, use its menu — the link shows it as it will look on the network.
Social media managers
Social media manager is a role on the business’s team, on the Pro plan: they sign in with their mobile number and see only Social. By default they can do everything except administer the workspace. Invite them when turning Social on, at the “Who manages” step, or in “Team & clients” in the settings.
Do clients need to sign in to approve?
Not necessarily. With a view link you shared, they see the posts, comment and approve without signing in. Clients invited to the workspace sign in with their mobile number, without a password.
Do approvers get reminders?
Yes, when reminders are on in the approval settings: approvers get a reminder about posts that have waited for them more than a day.
How do I choose which notifications I get?
Everyone chooses for themselves in “My notifications”: approvals, comments and suggestions, mentions, publishing and comments from the networks — and whether they reach the phone. Everything also shows in Social’s bell.
