How clients find you in Bookly search
What it takes to appear in search on the website and in the app, what clients search and filter by, and what moves a business up the results.
Clients search Bookly, on the website and in the app, by category, name, treatment, city or near them, and filter by rating, price, who it’s for, amenities and who’s open now. Every business with a published page and an active plan appears in search, on every plan.
What it takes to appear
The page is published — “Link & sharing” shows whether it’s published or hidden.
MarketingLink & sharingPublishing the pageThe plan is active, or you’re in the trial. Without an active plan, the page is hidden from search.
There’s an address and city — to show up in city searches and for clients searching near them.

What clients find you by
Search looks at the business name, “About”, the service names and the categories you chose. Use the words clients type in your description and service names, and pick every category that fits your business.
What moves you up
The order weighs the rating and number of reviews, and the distance from the client. Businesses on Pro get priority organic ranking — “Recommended near you”. And to appear first with the “Sponsored” label, there’s paid promotion.
When a new client finds you in Bookly search and books, you get a “Bookly brought you a new client” notification. The insights show how many bookings came from search.
My business doesn’t show up in search
Check that the page is published, the plan is active and there’s an address and city. Search by your name, in your own city — a search from another area may not reach you.
Do I have to pay to appear?
Not separately. Appearing in search is included in every plan, and in the trial too — all you need is an active plan. Paid promotion is an optional extra for those who want to appear first.
