A shared time clock station on a tablet
A tablet at the business where each team member clocks in: tap your name, type a personal code, done. Turn it on on the website or in the app, and open it on the tablet.
The station is a page that opens on a tablet at the business, with no sign-in: the link itself is the key. Whoever clocks in taps their name, types a personal code, and is in or out. The station shows in the language you chose for it, whatever each person’s own language. The station comes with the “Team & Attendance” bundle.
Open the screen
Time clock & payrollTime clockIn the “Settings and time clock station” part, on the “Shared time clock station” card, click “Turn on station”.
Open the link on the tablet: scan the QR, or click “Copy link” and send it to the tablet.
Choose the “Time clock tablet language”. On the tablet you can switch to “Full screen”.
Rotating QR
Instead of a name and a code, the station can show a QR code that changes every few seconds: in the station settings, choose “Rotating QR” under “How the station clocks in”. The station stays dark until someone touches the screen, then shows the code for a few seconds. Everyone scans it with their phone’s camera, or with “Scan the station QR” in the app’s time clock — and they’re in or out, signed in to their own account. A photo of the code won’t work from home, because it keeps changing.
Personal codes
Only people with a personal code appear at the station. Each person picks a 4-to-6-digit code on the time clock, under “My code for the business’s station”, and managers can set or change anyone’s code under “Personal codes”.
“New link” retires the previous one — a tablet open on it stops working until the new one is opened there. “Turn off” switches the station off.
Do I need to sign in on the tablet?
No. The link itself opens the station, so keep it safe — and if it leaks, replace it with “New link”.
An employee doesn’t appear at the station. Why?
Only people with a personal code appear. Pick a code on the time clock, or have a manager set one.
Can I put the station on the tablet’s home screen?
Yes. A tablet that adds it to the home screen opens it like an app, without the browser’s bars.
