Moving from another system: importing clients and appointments
Bring your clients and appointments over from your old system’s export file — Excel, CSV or calendar — without retyping. Or send us the file and we’ll import it for you.
On the “Switch from another system” page, upload your previous system’s export file, and Bookly adds the clients and the appointments — both the history and the upcoming ones. There are ready export instructions for Calmark, Simple Tor, Dibs, Pink, Plannie, Point, Wix, Fresha, Easybizy, Tor4You and Google Calendar, and any other Excel or CSV file works too.
Open the screen
Switch from another systemUnder “Where are you moving from?”, pick your previous system and open its export instructions.
Click “I have a file” and upload it — xlsx, csv, ics or zip.
In “What’s in each column?”, check that every column was recognized correctly — name, phone, email and so on.
Match each service and staff member from the file to the ones in Bookly (or keep the file’s name on the appointment), and confirm the import.
Switch-over day
At the end you get a switch-over day checklist: in the previous system, turn off booking and show clients a message with your new link; in Bookly, turn on reminders for the imported upcoming appointments once the previous system stops sending; and cancel the previous subscription only after checking that everything is here. There’s also a ready message to copy, with the link to your page.
Rather have us do it? Under “Want us to do it for you?”, email us the file and we’ll import it. No export in your previous system? There’s a ready letter to request your data from them.
Never give us or anyone else the password to your previous system — the export file is enough.
I imported by mistake — can I undo it?
Yes. Under “Previous imports” at the bottom of the page, each import has “Undo import”.
Will clients get messages because of the import?
No. Reminders for the imported upcoming appointments go out only after you turn them on, on switch-over day.
