The guided tour: starting, resuming and skipping

A tour that opens the real screens — in the app, and on the website on a computer — and explains each in a short chapter. Stop anytime and pick up where you left off.

In your business dashboard on a computer, the guided tour goes over the website’s own screens: it opens each screen itself, highlights what matters and explains it, and what opens on a click — a window, a tab or a card — it opens by itself. It’s split into short chapters — the calendar, clients, price list, team, business page, messages, subscription and more.

  1. Click “Guided tour” at the bottom of the side menu, or in your account menu.

  2. Choose “Continue where you left off”, “This screen’s tour” or “From the beginning” — or a chapter from the list.

  3. Move on with “Next” or the keyboard’s arrows, and leave with Esc — next time you continue from the same step.

  4. At the end of each chapter, choose “Next chapter” or “Done”; “All chapters” opens the list at any step.

The guides of the help center in your business dashboard have “Show me here”: the guide’s chapter runs on the screen itself, and “Back to the guide” brings you back to it.

The first time you open your business dashboard on a computer, a “Guided tour of managing your business” card appears: “Start” opens the first chapter, and “Later” closes it. Each role sees only the chapters for its own screens, and chapters you’ve finished are marked with ✓.

Want to start over? “Reset progress” in the chapter list clears the marks, and the tour starts again from the first chapter.

The guided tour is in the app

In the “Business view and switching modes” chapter, the tour shows this on the screen itself, step by step.

Is there a tour on the phone too?

Yes. The Bookly app for iPhone and Android has a tour of its own, on its own screens — in the “Profile” tab, under “Help”. The website’s tour is built for a computer screen.

I don’t have any data yet — what will the tour show?

When there are no clients or appointments yet, the tour shows an example, so every screen has something to look at.
