Publishing from your phone, without connecting an account
At the set time a notification arrives and the post opens with its steps: copy the text, save the media, open the network and mark it published. Works without the marketing bundle.
This is done in the Bookly app on your phone. The steps here are the app's.
Not every channel needs a connection. In a planning-only channel, or a connected account set to “Publish via the app”, Bookly doesn’t publish by itself: at the set time a notification goes to the phone of whoever publishes, and the app gets everything ready. It works without the marketing bundle — and a channel that isn’t a network, like a WhatsApp status or a newsletter, also gets a reminder with the text and media ready.
Setting up the channel
Open the channels
ManageSocialChannelsTap the channel, and under “Publishing method” choose “Publish via the app” — or “Manual publishing”.
Under “Who gets the reminder to publish”, choose who publishes. You can leave it to everyone with the publish permission.
The publishing method and who gets the reminder are changed by whoever runs Social — the owner, the managers or anyone given the “Manage” permission.
When it’s time to publish
Tap the notification — the post opens with the “Time to publish” card.
“Copy text”: the text is copied. If there’s a first comment, copy it too.
Save to the gallery: the photos and videos are saved on the phone, in order.
Open: the network’s app opens. Paste the text and publish.
“Mark as published”: you can paste the link to the post, and it’s marked as published in the calendar.
On iPhone, a post with a single photo or video opens in Instagram right on the file you saved, and a story goes through the share sheet. The first time, the iPhone asks for permission to save to Photos — if you declined, allow it in the iPhone’s Settings.
If the network’s app isn’t installed, the phone’s share sheet opens with the files and the text.
Can I publish this way before the set time?
Yes. In the post’s menu, choose “Publish via the app” and the card opens right away.
Why didn’t a notification arrive?
Check that Bookly’s notifications are on in the phone, that you’re in “Who gets the reminder to publish”, and that “Publishing” is on in Social’s “My notifications”.
