Paid promotion: placements, buying and results
Appear first in search, category pages and recommendations with the “Sponsored” label — for the period you choose, no auto-renewal, with impressions, clicks and bookings.
Paid promotion shows your business at the top of the lists clients see, with the “Sponsored” label: in search results and category pages, first in “Recommended near you”, in “Businesses with a slot today” when a client finds no free slot today, and in “You might also like” after a client books with a nearby business in another category. Never on another business’s page.
Buying
Open “Promote your business”
MarketingPromote your businessChoose “In your city” or “Nationwide”, a length and a category.
Pay with one of the options the screen offers right now — the note at the top of the card says which: for example with Bookly Stars, or buying a city package in the app. Nationwide packages are sold on the website only.
Only the business owner buys promotion; managers see the results. To promote, the page must be published and the plan active. Every purchase is one-time, and another for the same placement starts when the current one ends.
Results
The screen shows impressions (how many times the sponsored card was shown), clicks, the click rate and bookings from the promotion — a booking made in the days after a click counts for it. “Where it works” breaks the numbers down by placement, and “Purchase history” lists every promotion — running, scheduled and finished.
The guided tour is in the app
In the “Sponsored promotion” chapter, the tour shows this on the screen itself, step by step.
How many sponsored cards does a client see?
A results list has one sponsored card on top, and at most one more after several results — so a phone never shows two at once. Everywhere else there’s one sponsored card.
What happens when several businesses promote in the same place?
Impressions are shared fairly between them — whoever was shown least today comes up first.
